The Babe and George Zaharias Golf Foundation, Inc's program is Tri-Lateral in its inclusive teaching model for student members.

Par 3 Members Are children who do not have the physical and cognitive abilities to actually play the game of golf. Their benefit is by improving their range of motion, socializing skills and building self esteem. They have fun and learn safety aspects in an environment that they would not typically experience.	Par 4 Members This group of children is more advanced and are learning the game with all its aspects. The center of their focus is striving towards this goal and seeing it take place on a Real golf course.  This endeavor could open the doors of future dreams, including scholarships and golf related job opportunities.  With Hope,  ALL things are possible!	Par 5 Members What an unfortunate situation and position in life. The Zaharias Golf Foundation will be initiating a special experimental program for the over-looked population of children and teenagers in our local prison system here in the Tampa Bay area..  And if this is a success, we will suggest this as a template to all 50 states.

Our foundation has hosted and will continue being involved wherever a need immerges. So far the groups we have worked with include the Shriners Children's Hospital, M.D.A., The Asthma and Allergy Foundation, Rotary's International Camp Florida and many others.

Our objective is to give all these children an exposure to a sport they can play for a lifetime and benefit form the inherent riches of this game, that encourages many of the youth in these programs.  Also, by showing compassion to these kids, listening to them and their stories will be demonstrating your love and well being for each and everyone of them.  By setting aside a specified time to serve, will produce a spirit of commitment that will lead to encouragement with hope and a bight future.  When these children and teenagers have become young people seeking employment, decision making, etc.  They'll realize their dreams fufilled and be a contribution to society.  The Zaharias Foundation is presently working with the local and outreach communities to facilitate job opportunities.  Another goal will be to stay connected with the once "Forgoten Youth"!

Babe had this dream and now over a half of century later the seed has been sown.  The Zaharias Foundation will work vigorously to see a harvest of smiling faces at all our participating events.  Just think, Babe's dream has been an ongoing journey, if you so desire to be a part of her vision, your heart warming support for these children will be a blessing.  All donations are tax deductible.
